Tahoe Summer Jamboree Free Throw Contest Rules

                                               

1.  All players are welcome and encouraged to enter the Tahoe Jamboree Free Throw Contest

2. Players will meet in the gym after the last scheduled game of the first day of the regular games..

3. Teams must have their coach present to officiate at a basket.

4. Each coach will need one ball and a pencil or pen.

5. Some bleacher may have to be pushed in before a basket may be used.

6. Players will gather and sit single file on the court as a team.

7. After instructions and announcements are given the girls will be split up and assigned to a specific basket.

8. All available baskets in the two gyms will be used.

9. All team mates will be split up to different baskets.

10. A coach or parent will supervise at each basket only writing down the leaders name, school and score and then any new leader.

11. Each player will get one practice shot on the first turn and if it's good it becomes the first real shot and the player gets 4 more shots

12. The second player steps up to shoot and will shot up to 5 shots, but the turn may end if the player cannot beat the leaders score.

13. First player makes 5 out of 5. Second shooter is out as soon as a miss occurs.

14. Any player who shoots 5 for 5 automatically goes to the championship basket in the Blue gym. Basket judge should turn in the name, school, and score at the Championship basket.

15. If there isn't a 5-5 winner, then the best one player will be determined and sent to the championship court.

16. Ties, other than 5-5 ties, will be shot off, to determine the winner.

17. An award will be presented to the winner.
